Admissions Checklist
	Complete the Application for Admission to Black Hawk College and return to Enrollment Services for processing. Contact the Advising Center (309-796-5100) to arrange for appointment to take assessment test. Call (309)796-5379 or email morelockl@bhc.edu to indicate your desire to enter the program. The department will add your name, address and phone number to our mailing list. Arrange to have a final high school or GED transcript submitted to Enrollment Services. The transcript must be sent directly from the high school (for high school graduates) or the regional superintendent’s office (for GED graduates) If applicable, contact any previous collages to have transcripts mailed to Enrollment Services. In writing, make a request for Enrollment Services to evaluate transfer credit. Admission to Fall Nursing classes: Interviews will be conducted during the month of February. Call a week before and through the third week of the month to schedule an interview (309-796-5379). Admission to Spring Nursing classes: Interviews will be conducted during the month of October. Academic Advising: For new students, the Advising Center can recommend first semester courses. Thereafter, the department strongly encourages students to develop an academic plan based on the recommendation ofnursing faculty. Appointment times with nursing faculty advisors are always available in February and October; other times upon request.
