The Independent Learning Center

The Independent Learning Center, the heart and activity center of Black Hawk College, is located in the lower level of Building One (under the library). This area of the college houses:

• Six computer labs installed with Business and Computer Science software, special classroom software, plus for personal use
• The Testing Room for Alternative Delivery courses, classroom make-ups, and proctoring of tests for other institutions
• GED Registration Information and Test Administration
• Alternative Delivery Information, assignment drop off /pick ups, tapes and videos
• ESL software check out
• Help Desk assistance with the computers located in the area

Our friendly staff is here to answer any questions you may have about its many services and the college as a whole.

The ILC Desk is open:

Fall and Spring Semester
Mondays through Thursdays: 7:30 am - 9:00 pm
Fridays: 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Saturdays: 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

Summer Semester
Mondays through Thursdays: 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Fridays: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
No Saturday hours

Intercession Times (Desk area only-Labs & Testing Room closed)
Monday through Thursday 8:00 am -5:00 pm
Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
